Door alarm
The energy consumption and the tempera-
ture inside the appliance can increase if the
appliance door (2) is opened often or for long
periods of time.
A beep will sound if the appliance door (2) is
left open for longer than 2 minutes.
• Close the appliance door (2).
• Press the button (18) to turn off the beep.
The shelves
The glass shelves (13) can be removed and
rearranged if necessary.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves, as
shown in the figure on page EN-11.
1. To remove the glass shelves (13), lift them
slightly at the front and then pull them out
of the guide rail.
2. Place the glass shelves (13) back into the
desired positions.
Humidity control in the fruit/
vegetable drawers
The cover for the fruit/vegetable drawers (9)
is equipped with humidity control.

FRUITS
• Push the humidity control slider (10) to the
left when you store fruit in the fruit/vegeta-
ble drawers (9).
This opens the fruit/vegetable drawers (9)
to the appliance's interior so that air can
flow through them.
FRUITS
• Push the humidity control slider (10) to the
right when you store vegetables in the fruit/
vegetable drawers (9).
This closes the fruit/vegetable drawers (9)
to the appliance's interior. Vegetables can
thus be stored away and kept fresh much
longer.
Water tank and water
dispenser
Filling the water tank
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Standing water may cause damage to
health.
■ Clean the water tank if it has not been
used for 48 hours; fl ush the water sys-
tem if water has not been drawn for
5 days.
■ Do not dispense water from the cold
water outlet for longer than 3 min-
utes at a time.
■ Use only potable water to fi ll the wa-
ter tank. Do not fi ll the water tank
with any other fl uids.
