General description of the product and its operation
The product which this manual refers to is an air-cooled, direct expansion, self contained
unit designed for the air-conditioning of heavy vehicle cabins. The unit uses a vapour
compression cycle to transfer heat from the air in the vehicle cabin to the air in the
external environment. The desired operating mode, temperature and ventilation level
can be set through the unit's control panel.
When operating in summer mode, the air inside the cabin is drawn by a fan through the
evaporator, from which it emerges cooled and dried. Liquid refrigerant passing through
the evaporator turns to vapour by removing heat from the air, then enters into the
compressor, where it is subject to an increase in temperature and pressure. Then, the
hot refrigerant vapour flows into the condenser, where it is cooled and then condensed,
releasing its heat to the external environment. Finally, liquid refrigerant returns into
the evaporator coil through the capillary tube, and the cycle repeats.
When operating in winter mode (only HP model), the cooling cycle is inverted via a
4-way valve, meaning that the air inside the cab is heated.

Installation
6.1
General rules
As soon as delivery has been taken, inspect the packaging and check that it has not
been damaged during transport. Then remove the packaging and check that the system
components are undamaged. If in any doubt, contact the dealer no later than 24 hours
after delivery. The unit's packaging material must be disposed of according to the
current regulations. The installation and maintenance of the unit could present risks
due to the presence of pressurized circuits and electrical components. For this reason
installation and maintenance must be performed by professionally qualified personnel
only. Personnel carrying out installation and maintenance operations, must follow all
current safety rules.
6.2
Installing the unit on the vehicle
The air conditioner must be installed using the dedicated original mounting kit only.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from the use of a non-
original mounting kit. For the installation of the air conditioner on the roof of the
vehicle, carefully follow the instructions described in the 'Mounting Kit Installation
Manual', which may be found inside the installation kit pack. We re-iterate that the
installation must be performed by technical specialists only, who must follow all current
safety rules.

Using the AC unit
7.1
Warnings and suggestions
The roof top air conditioner can provide a significantly lower cooling performance than
that of the vehicle's standard air conditioning system. If you envisage the use of the
