Mounting the Dräger X-node
CAUTION
The sensing head may be damaged
To ensure product safety even when an external power supply is
connected to the micro USB socket, only an approved, commercially
available USB power supply unit may be used that under no
circumstances exceeds the parameters 5.25V / 3A / 15W.
► The sensing head may only be used with USB power supply units
that comply with the USB 3.1 (Gen2) specification, or less.
The internal rechargeable battery of the sensing head must be
charged as follows prior to the installation of the sensor in the sensing
head (5):
1. Connect the plug of a micro USB cable to the micro USB port (2)
of the sensing head.
2. Connect the micro USB cable to a compatible power supply unit.
3. Connect the power supply unit to the mains power supply.
✓ The charging process is completed once the LED (6) is constantly
illuminated green.
For optimum measurements the sensing head must be installed at the
centre of the area to be monitored. The sensing head must be
installed accessible for maintenance work and suspended from the
mounting lug (1).
CAUTION
The sensing head may be damaged
The sensing head must not be mounted in inaccessible areas. Protect
against direct exposure to dust, splash water or too intense sunlight.
► Only mount the sensing head in accessible areas.
Instructions for use
|
Dräger X-node
The sensing head must be mounted vertically with the sensor (3)
pointing down, ±30° at a location with low vibration and, as far as
possible, stable temperatures.
8.2
Gateway connection
For successful data exchange between sensing head and gateway,
the gateway must be within range. To check the connection to the
gateway, the sensing head must be turned by 180°. The mounting lug
(1) must point downwards.
