4.4 - Ducting or recirculation fitting
1 - Ducting fitting
a) The hood may be connected to the outside using a 120 or
150 Ø mm rigid or flexible pipe. The choice is left to the
installer. If a 120 mm Ø pipe is to be used, the reduction
flange K must be inserted into the air outlet (fig. 4).
b) Connect the outlet to the outside using a rigid or
flexible pipe secured with suitable pipe clamps (fig.
5). The materials required for this operation are to
be supplied by the installer.
c) Remove the charcoal filters (if fitted) (see
paragraph 7.2).
2 - Recirculation fitting
a) Recirculated air is directed into the kitchen through the 120
mm Ø venting grille which is to be installed at the end of
the chimney section S.
b) Using the recirculation chimney kit (optional accessory)
the recirculated air is directed into the kitchen through the
two venting grilles installed on the lower chimney section I
(fig. 6). Connect the recirculation spigot R directly to the
circular outlet of the diffuser pushing it downwards (fig. 7).
c) Install charcoal filters (if required) inside the canopy (see
paragraph 7.2).
N.B.: Do not install the venting grilles at this point; this
operation must be carried out once the chimney has been
installed.
4.5 - Installation of the telescopic chimney stack
a) To fit the upper section item S first expand the chimney
slightly to allow it to fit over the wall brackets 2 and then
secure the upper section using the 4 screws supplied (fig.
8).
b) Connect the lower chimney section I as above between
the lower bracket 2 and the wall, paying attention to fit
the lower end of the section into the outlet on the canopy
(fig. 8).
c) In the case of a recirculation fitting (optional accessory),
clip the two venting grilles in position, making sure that
the symbol is pointing upwards and the symbol
pointing toward the front. This done, check that the
grilles are correctly inserted into the recirculation spigot
R (fig. 9).
