Introduction
The JRGARANT safety valves JRG Code
1025/1028 protects storage-type (closed) water
heaters against excess loading due to pressure.
Function
When water is heated its volume increases,
which in a closed container creates a rise in
pressure. The built in non return valve prevents
water from flowing out of the water heater back
into the mains.
The safety valve opens when the pre-set
response pressure is reached and allows the
quantity of water causing the overpressure
to escape.
