Setting the temperature
WARNING
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper-
ature in the fridge and freezer compart-
ment.
■ Always abide by the prescribed am-
bient temperature (see the 'Climate
class' line on Page GB-28).
Using the "Set" button (13), you can set the
temperature in the fridge compartment.
• First select a medium setting (e.g. 6 °C).
• If, for example in summer, the ambient
temperature increases, so select a lower
setting accordingly.
(9)
Using the temperature controller (9), you can
set the temperature in the freezer compart-
ment. To set
– to a lower temperature, turn the tempera-
ture controller clockwise.
– to a higher temperature, turn the tempera-
ture controller counterclockwise.
Ideally, use 2 fridge/freezer thermometers to
control the cooling power.
Place one
• above the vegetable drawers (8) in the
fridge compartment; the correct tempera-
ture here is +6 °C.
• in the freezer compartment; the ideal stor-
age temperature is -18 °C.
