6.3 Function
The device is equipped with a safety thermocouple which interrupts the gas supply
approx. 30 seconds after the flame goes out.
Depending on the model, the device is additionally equipped with an automatic
flame supervision device that instantly interrupts the gas supply when the glass lid is
closed. The optional automatic flame supervision device is built into the glass lid.
Depending on the model, the device is equipped with soft close hinges for the glass
lid.

Installing the device

7.1

Selecting the installation location

When selecting the installation location, observe the following instructions:
• There must be air vents with a cross-section of at least 150 cm
location.
• Make sure that the minimum distances (fig. 3, page 5 and fig. 4, page 5) are
observed.
• Ensure that there are no drafts at the installation location.
7.2

Installation steps

1. Create a cutout in the countertop (fig. 5, page 6 and fig. 6, page 7).
2. Attach a rubber seal between the countertop and the device.

NOTE
Contact the manufacturer if the device is not supplied with a rubber seal.
3. Fasten the device in the countertop (fig. 7, page 7 and fig. 8, page 8).
7.3 Connecting the device to the gas supply
The assembly and installation of the gas connection must be performed
by a qualified person who has demonstrated skill and knowledge related
to the construction, installation and operation of gas appliances and has
received safety training to identify and avoid the hazards involved.
