Always set up the device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space
above it (at least 30 cm) on a fl at, solid and heat-resistant surface.
Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising
steam could cause damage to them!
1. Place the motor unit (A) on the kitchen unit or another dry, clean work surface, following the
safety notices and the notices provided at the beginning of this chapter.
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable and plug the mains plug into an easily accessible plug socket.
All buttons fl ash blue. The device is in stand-by mode.

Operation

Filling the Roasting Chamber
1. Fill the roasting chamber (2) with 100 g of green coffee beans. Do not overfi ll it!
Note the MAX marking in the roasting chamber.
2. Place the collecting container (C) and lid (B) on the motor unit (A). The lid must engage in
the collecting container.
Operating Buttons
The device has three operating buttons:
DARK
Press the DARK button (6) to start the roasting process for a dark roast.
MED
Press the MED button (5) to start the roasting process for a medium roast.
COOL DOWN
Press the COOL DOWN button (4) to end an ongoing roasting process
prematurely and start the cool-down phase manually.
When a programme is selected, the corresponding button is constantly lit red during the roasting
process. As soon as the cool-down phase begins, the button for the selected programme is con-
stantly lit blue. All buttons fl ash blue after the end of the roasting process.
