• Do not take hold of too much tissue.
• Fully close the jaws before activation.
• Check the sealing seam before disconnecting a vessel.
CAUTION! Risk of bleeding due to cutting of tissue: Move or turn
the instrument with the grasped tissue as little and as carefully
as possible.
CAUTION! Jaws heat up in the event of intensive use. The large
jaws of the BiClamp 20195-200 and the BiClamp 21195-200 can
heat up as more thermal energy is stored. Risk of unwanted co-
agulations in the event of unintentional tissue contact.
• Avoid accidental contact with tissue.
• Maintain sufficient distance from tissue that is not involved
in the operation.
• BiClamp 20195-200 and BiClamp 21195-200: Cool the in-
strument tip after each coagulation cycle by dipping in sterile
water.
CAUTION! Sharp-edged or abrasive objects damage the coagu-
lation surfaces and the insulation. The function of the product
may be restricted and there is a risk of electrical breakdown.
There is a risk that the seal seam will tear. Do not use sharp-
edged or abrasive objects for cleaning.
Regularly remove excessive contamination occurring during the
operation on the coagulation surfaces and the backs of the jaws
(e.g. after every coagulation cycle) with a cloth moistened with
sterile water.
4.7
Precleaning the product in the procedure room
1. Use a soft cloth (such as a compress) to remove any obvious
contamination immediately after use and/or place the prod-
uct in deionized water.
