Installation Procedures

For the standard accessories accompanying the units of this series, refer to the packing list; Additional accessories
referenced in this document and required for installation should be procured locally
Indoor units should be installed where there is even circulation of cool and warm air. The following places should be
avoided:
• places with high salinity (beach), high sulfurated gases (such as thermal spring regions where copper tubes and soft
soldering can easily erode), excessive oil (including mechanical oil) and steam; places where organic substance solvent
is used; places where special sprays are frequently used;
• places where machines generate high-frequency electromagnetic waves (abnormal conditions will appear in the control
system);
• places where there is high humidity near the doors or windows (where dew easily forms).
Warning:
Protect the machine from gales or earthquakes, follow regulations during installation. Improper installation will cause
accidents due to the dislodgement of the air conditioner.
1. Select the Following Places for Installing Indoor Units:
(1) where there is enough room for the machine above the ceiling;
(2) where the drainpipes can be arranged well;
(3) where the distance between the air outlet port of the machine and the floor is not more than 2.7m;
(4) where the air inlet and outlet ports of the indoor units are not blocked;
(5) where the weight of the unit can be borne;
(6) where there are no appliances such as television, piano, or other valuables under the indoor units, so as to avoid
condensation dripping down, causing damage;
(7) where the distance is over 1m from televisions and radios, so as to avoid disturbance from televisions and radios.

Installation space

Ensure there is required space for installation and maintenance (refer to the following drawings). The installation height
should be within 2.7m.
When the height of the ceiling exceeds 2.7m, cannot reach the ground.
