Preparation for renewed use

Dismantling

Disconnect mains plug to avoid risk of electric shock!
Detach the disposable hose system from the device and
from the heater/humidifier, if installed, and dispose of as
domestic waste.
Detach O monitor from the device.

Remove disposable bacterial filter (if fitted) from the device.
Do not allow any fluid to enter the filter. This would
increase filter resistance and the operation of the device
could be impaired!
Prepare the O monitor, heater/humidifier and PEEP valve

according to the separate instructions for use.
For each new patient
The following should be carried out by authorised Dräger
Medical Service personnel:
Disinfect the bellows
Replace all filters
Dispose of disposable hose system and use a new one
Disinfect other parts contaminated by patient breathing,
such as the PEEP valve, according to the separate
instructions for use.

Cleaning

Do not allow any fluid to enter the device or its
connections. This could impair the operation of
the device!
Device, cable and control line
Remove coarse dirt with a disposable cloth.
Wipe down device, cable and control line with a damp
disposable cloth.
Allow parts to dry thoroughly.
