Flow ramp
The following flow shapes can be selected:
— rectangular (R)
— sinusoidal (S)
— accelerating (A)
— decelerating (D)
The flow shape does not affect the frequency, tidal volume or
ratio I/E.
The abbreviation and symbol for the selected flow shape are
displayed on the screen.
Example:
R
for a rectangular flow shape.
RATIO I/E
Setting range: 1:1 to 1:3
In the ventilation mode ACV, the efforts to breathe can trigger
the device and alter the set RATIO I/E towards a ratio of 1:1.
High pressure alarm (HIGH PRESSURE)
Setting range: 12 to 60 mbar
The set value is additionally displayed as a black triangle next
to the bar display scale for airway pressure. If the airway
pressure reaches this value, an alarm is activated and the
bellows cease inflating and deflating in order to avoid
unacceptably high pressure in the lungs.
