Power Cable (30012040002) Installation
Note: MTP6000 Car Kit supports 12 VDC vehicular batteries
with negative earth only.
The Power Cable is equipped with 5 A fuse for battery
positive terminal and 1 A fuse for ignition. Verify that the
vehicle electrical system can support current values larger
than the fuse ratings.
The fuse in the red wire should be connected to the power
source using the shortest practical length.
Remove the fuse from the red and blue (ignition)
wires of the power cable before proceeding and
tape them to their respective fuse holders before
making any connection. Do not insert fuses until all
connections have been made and carefully
inspected.
In cases of blown fuses, replace only with
Motorola-approved fuses or those of equivalent
parts listed in the following table. Do not insert
fuses of different parts/values.
