When leaving unattended / transporting the
machine:
Switch the machine off
Push on the safety cover
Remove the battery
Never hold the machine by the blade
Only carry the machine by the hand grip
Before starting work search for hidden ob-
jects, such as wire fences in the hedge to
avoid injuries.
Regularly check the appliance is in good
working order.
Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
They can cause irreparable damage to the
appliance.
After use, remove the battery and check the
machine for damage.
Electrical malfunctions are only allowed to be
rectified by authorised specialist workshops.
WARNING!
The power tool generate a powerful elec-
tromagnetic field when in use. Under cer-
tain circumstances this electromagnetic
field may influence active or passive im-
plants.
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal in-
juries, we recommend persons with im-
plants for medical reasons to consult the
respective physician or the manufacturer
of the medical device before using the
power tool.

The charger heats up during charging.
Do not place it on a flammable surface or
in a flammable environment.

Charging the battery
For more information about charging the battery,
refer to the separate instructions for the battery
and the charger.
Inserting the battery
1. Press the locking catch.
2. Push the battery along the guide until the con-
tact socket on the battery is firmly located on
the contact plug of the appliance.
Removing the battery
1. Press the lock (6-1).
2. Pull the battery out of the machine.

OPERATION

Starting the hedge trimmer
1. Keep proper footing and balance.
2. Grip the front hand grip with one hand, then
grip the rear hand grip with the other hand.
3. Press the switches on both hand grips (5); the
machine will start:
4. Keep both switches pressed while working.
5. The hedge trimmer will stop immediately if
one of the switches is released.

INFORMATION ON WORKING

Always cut both sides of the hedge first, be-
fore cutting the top. This will prevent cut ma-
terial from falling into areas that have not yet
been cut (9)
Hedges should always be cut in a trape-
zoid shape. This prevents the lower branches
from becoming bare
Make sure the motor is stopped before you
remove any cuttings.
