An ambient temperature that is too high may cause failure of the devices installed
in the cabinet.
Non-compliance can result in material damage.
• Install and adjust the cabinet in such a way that it is always operated within
the permissible temperature range.
The following conditions must be observed during project engineering:
• To ensure adherence with the intended use, only install the device on the
IS1+ 9494 BusRail.
• Operation of the device is only permissible in three approved mounting positions:
See chapter "Mounting/dismounting on BusRail".
• Up to 16 I/O modules can be operated using the device. If only analogue modules are
used, up to 15 I/O modules can be operated.
• The primary device must be mounted on the first slot of the 9494 BusRail.
• The redundant device (optional) must be mounted on the second slot of the
9494 BusRail.
• The DIN rail of the 9494 BusRail must be connected to the equipotential bonding of the
hazardous area.
• Work on the connected auxiliary power electrical circuits is permitted only if they are
de-energised.
