- Do not drink hot or cold drinks, and do not do strenuous exercise during temperature taking.
- The protective glass of the lens is the most important and fragile part of the thermometer, treat
it carefully and do not touch it with your fingers.
Constraints
In order to obtain a stable and reliable result, before taking the temperature:
- Move hair aside.
- If necessary, wipe away any perspiration from the forehead.
- Avoid drafts/any significant air flow (nasal cannula, air conditioning ...).
- Observe a 3-minute interval between two measures.
The reliability of the measure is not assured in case of temperature measurement on another
anatomical region (e.g. arms, torso ...).
IV. OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Each solid, liquid or gaseous body, has the property of emitting energy by radiation with
an intensity that depends on its temperature. The THERMOFLASH® LX-260T EVOLUTION
infrared thermometer measures a persons temperature by means of the energy they emit.
This measurement is made possible by the instrument's external temperature probe, which
permanently analyses and records the ambient temperature. In such a way that as soon as
the operator holds the thermometer close to the body and activates the radiation sensor, the
measurement is carried out instantaneously by detection of the infrared heat emitted by the
arterial blood flow. The result of this body temperature measurement is then obtained without
interference from the heat of the surrounding environment.
