Chopping, rasping, crown attachment (10,
12-14):
1. First put the required attachment onto the
supporting disc:
Hook in the short locking latch from above
into the supporting disc. The press the long
locking latch from below until it snaps in (im-
age A).
2. Put the spindle attachment (21) onto the
drive spindle of the motor unit first and then
the jug.
3. Put the supporting disc with the mounted
attachment onto the spindle attachment. The
selected rasping or chopping side points up-
wards.
4. Put the lid (2) onto the jug (3).
You can now begin with chopping, rasping or
grating.
5. To remove the cutting, grating or crown
attachment, turn the supporting disc over.
6. Release the long locking latch by moving
it towards the middle
(image B).
Using the grinder (image C)
General instructions
The grinding unit (7) is suitable for grind-
ing coffee beans and nuts, as well as spices
such as pepper corns, coarse salt or dried
herbs.
All food that can melt such as chocolate
or cheese is not suitable.
Grinding food
1. Remove the blade unit from the mixer by
turning it anticlockwise.
2. Unscrew the sprinkler lid from the grinder
container and turn the container over.
3. Put the food into the grinder jug (7) and
lock it with the blade unit (17). Pay attention
to proper seating of the sealing ring. It must
fit smoothly all round.
4. Turn this unit over and place the grinding
unit (7) onto the drive unit (4) and lock it by
turning to the right.
5. Insert the plug into the mains socket and
turn the rotary switch (5) to impulse or con-
tinuous operation.

ATTENTION
Pay attention to the maximum operat-
ing time of 2 minutes.
Allow the appliance to cool down for 1
minute.

After using

1. Switch off the appliance and pull the plug
out of the mains socket.
2. Rinse the jug and the accessories used
with water.
3. Clean the appliance and parts used as
described in the section Cleaning and main-
tenance (page 16).

Cleaning and maintenance

Before beginning any work, pay attention to
the safety instructions in the section Safety
instructions (page 10)!

Cleaning the appliance

1. Wipe the motor unit (4) with a slightly
damp cloth.
2. All other parts can be cleaned in a warm
washing-up liquid solution or in the dish
washer.
3. Dry all parts of the appliance thoroughly
after cleaning.
NOTE
Dried and caked food residues can be
removed more easily if you allow them to
soak in warm washing-up liquid solution for
10 minutes before cleaning.
Rinse the chopping blade immediately
after processing very salty ingredients.
After processing strongly coloured in-
gredients, the plastic parts of the appliance
can become discoloured. Rub these parts
with cooking oil before cleaning them.

Storage

If you do not intend to use the appliance for a
longer period of time, clean it as described in
the section Cleaning and care Cleaning and
maintenance (page 16).
