10.2 Parameterisation in SIO mode

If IO-Link is not used, the EDS 820 IO-Link functions as a pressure switch with two

switching outputs.

It can be flexibly adapted to the relevant customer application in conjunction with the
HYDAC programming device HPG P1-000 or the programming adapter ZBE P1-000.

Output settings

11.1 Switching outputs
The EDS 820 IO-Link has 2 switching outputs whose switching behaviour (window
mode or twopoint mode) is parameterisable.
NOTICE
If the sensor is operated at the Class-B port of an IO-Link master, pin 2 of the sensor
may not be connected to pin 2 of the master, as pin 2 of the master serves as a current
source for devices with increased power demand or for actors, which would collide
with the switching output of the EDS 820.
In addition to the IO-Link Smart Sensor Profile Specification, a switch and switch-back
delay can be set in HYDAC IO-Link sensors.
