5.1.1

Control Unit Connected to SIMATRIX Interface (Term.x)

As standard, the control unit interface of the CKA4820 is set as a TTY interface
(COM1B) for control of the SIMATRIX 164/648/SYS.
Connect control unit to SIMATRIX
Connect the CKA4820 to the terminal socket (Term.x) of the video matrix via the
control unit interface COM1B.

Required accessories
Control line: 4-core cable; max. permissible length approx. 1.2 km with 0.8 mm
conductor diameter.
9-pin Sub-D plug with housing.
9-pin Sub-D socket with housing.
With the SIMATRIX 164/648, the internal power supply for the control unit is
possible via Term.1, and with the SIMATRIX SYS via Term.1 to 4. A 6-core cable
is required if the power supply is obtained from the SIMATRIX. Please note the
precut/preassembled cable in the Ordering data. With a cable length above 70 m
or if more than two control units are connected, the power supply must be provided
by a separate power supply unit on the control unit. It must be guaranteed that the
control unit is powered with DC 12 V +10 %, -15 % (SELV).
