LED Light Strip
with Remote Control
Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to operation and keep them for later refer-
ence.
1 Applications
This 5 m light strip with 150 LEDs is used for deco-
rative lighting. The remote control allows to select
various control programmes for flashing, change of
colour, gradual colour transition and for lighting in
one colour.
2 Safety Notes
The components of the LEDS-5SET/ RGB (con-
troller, remote control, power supply unit and LED
light strip) correspond to all required directives of
the EU (marking
).
WARNING The power supply unit is supplied
with
hazardous
Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only. Inexpert handling or modifica-
tion of the unit may cause an electric
shock hazard.
It is essential to observe the following items:
G
The LEDS-5SET/ RGB is suitable for indoor use
only. Protect it against dripping water and splash
water, high air humidity, and heat (admissible
ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C). However,
the light strip is protected against spraying water
(IP 63) and therefore also suitable for damp
locations.
G
Do not set the controller into operation and
immediately disconnect the power supply unit
from the socket if
1. there is visible damage to the power supply
unit, controller or light strip,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,

The LEDS-5SET/ RGB must in any case be
repaired by skilled personnel.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water. However, you may use a
damp cloth to clean the light strip.
G
No guarantee claims for the LEDS-5SET/RGB
and no liability for any resulting personal dam-
age or material damage will be accepted if the
LEDS-5SET/ RGB is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly con-
nected or operated, or not repaired in an expert
way.
If the LEDS-5SET/ RGB is to be put out of
operation definitively, take it to a local
recycling plant for a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment.
3 Mounting and Connection
mains
voltage.
1) Attach the LED light strip (7) to the desired place
via the self-adhesive foil on its rear side or the
supports supplied. To shorten the LED strip, cut
it at one of the scissors symbols .
2) Connect the plug (5) of the controller (4) via the
adapter plug (6) to the terminal strip at one end
of the LED strip. The arrow of the plug must
point to the marking "< – –" of the LED strip (see
figure below); otherwise the LEDs will not light
up.
3) Fasten the controller at a suitable place or
attach it with double-sided adhesive tape. When
using the remote control, always make sure that
the sensor IR (2) is visible.
4) Connect the power supply unit provided to the
power connection (1) of the controller. Connect
the mains cable to the power supply unit and the
mains plug to a socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz). The
LEDs will light up according to the last control
programme selected.

4 Operation
4.1 Remote control
1) The remote control is supplied with batteries
inserted. An insulating foil between the batteries
and the battery contacts prevents the batteries
from being discharged during storage. Prior to
the first operation remove the foil from the bat-
tery support on the rear side of the remote con-
trol. Otherwise operation of the remote control
is not possible.
2) When actuating a button, always hold the re -
mote control in the direction of the sensor IR (2).
There must be visual connection between the
remote control and the sensor.
3) If the range of the remote control decreases
(6 m as a maximum), replace the batteries. For
this purpose, on the rear side of the remote con-
trol press the small bar with the groove to the
right and at the same time remove the battery
support.
Two 1.5 V button cells of type CR 2880 are
required. When inserting them, pay attention
that for the front button cell, the positive pole
shows upwards and for the rear button cell, the
negative pole shows upwards.
If the remote control is not used for a longer
period, remove the batteries to prevent damage
to the remote control due to battery leakage.
