WARNINGS
• Conversion Kits are not sterile upon receipt and must be sterilized prior to use in accordance with the
following instructions.
LIMITATIONS ON PROCESSING
• Cold liquid disinfection/sterilization, chemical vapor sterilization, and dry heat sterilization methods have
not been tested or validated for efficacy and are not recommended for use. Use may void warranty.
INSTRUCTIONS
Point of use:
Remove excess soil with disposable lint-free cloth.
Containment and Transportation:
Protect conversion kit components from damage. Components should be reprocessed as soon as is rea-
sonably practical following use. Components left standing wet may stain or corrode.
Preparation for decontamination:
Remove excess debris from the components using a disposable lint-free cloth. Discard cloth after use.
Disassemble the conversion kit from the air/water syringe. Remove the plastic cone and adapter O-ring.
Mechanical Cleaning: Ultrasonic Cleaners
- Follow manufacturer instructions for instrument cleaning solution, observing concentration rates and
contact times.
- Prepare an enzymatic instrument cleaning solution per manufacturer's instructions paying attention
to concentration rates. A pH neutral instrument cleaning solution such as Dentsply Sirona Resurge
Instrument Cleaning Liquid is recommended.
- Adhere to the ultrasonic cleaning bath manufacturer's recommended liquid level.
- Place the adapter, thumb nut, plastic cone and O-ring into the ultrasonic bath and cover for the indicated
contact time; the instruments must be sufficiently covered.
- Remove the instruments from the ultrasonic cleaning bath. Rinse adapter, thumb nut, plastic cone and
O-ring under tepid (potable) running water for 30 seconds to remove cleaning agent.
- Inspect the adapter, thumb nut, plastic cone and O-ring for visible debris. If debris remains, manually
clean using a nylon brush wetted with the cleaning solution to remove it. Rinse the adapter, thumb nut,
plastic cone and O-ring under tepid (potable) running water for 30 seconds to remove cleaning agent.
- Dry with disposable lint-free cloth.
Cleaning: Manual
- Clean all external surfaces of the Sani-Tip conversion kit, including the air water/water syringe handpiece
with a mild detergent and water solution. Dry with a disposable lint-free cloth.
- Prepare an enzymatic instrument cleaning solution per manufacturer's instructions paying attention
to concentration rates. A pH neutral instrument cleaning solution such as Dentsply Sirona Resurge
Instrument Cleaning Liquid is recommended.
- Disassemble the conversion kit and remove plastic cone and adapter O-ring.
- Fully immerse the adapter, thumb nut, plastic cone and O-ring in the instrument cleaning solution for the
recommended contact time.
- Rinse the components thoroughly under tepid (potable) running water for 30 seconds.
