DANGER!
Under no circumstances may other ma-
terials or additives be used in the smok-
er box 36 than the specially designed
wooden chips (smoker chips).
The smoker box 36 must not be used in
closed rooms.
The smoker chips are not included. You can
get them in specialist barbecue shops. Please
also observe the manufacturer's instructions
for use, for example on the packaging.
1. Open the smoker box 36.
2. Place a handful of smoking chips into
the bottom part and close the smoker
box 36 again.
3. Place the smoker box 36 onto the
grill 14 above the heating element 15
before preheating.
4. Close the lid 24.
5. Set the temperature control 17 to MAX.
6. After approx. 10 - 15 minutes, lift the
lid 24 briefly to check whether smoke is
already escaping from the smoker
box 36. If not, wait a little longer.
When smoke has started to be pro-
duced evenly, place the food to be bar-
becued onto the grill 14.
7. Quickly close the lid 24 again so that
the steady smoke production is not dis-
turbed and the smoke stays inside the
barbecue.
8. Use the temperature control 17 to ad-
just the temperature appropriately to the
food you are cooking.
9. During the normal barbecue process,
the smoke flows around the food on the
barbecue.
10.After barbecuing, remember that there
are glowing embers in the smoker
box 36 that need to be fully extin-
guished.
Let the smoker box 36 burn out under
supervision.
If you are in a hurry, let water run
through the holes in the lid through the
smoker box 36 until it cools down and
the embers are completely extinguished.
10. Roasting/baking
The lower heat reflector plate 12 generates
an effect similar to a fan oven. The hot air is
directed upwards at the sides. This means
that the food on the barbecue is evenly sur-
rounded by the flow of hot air, and is not
heated only from below.
This cooking method is ideal for thicker bar-
becued food that should be cooked slower
and at lower temperatures, e.g. for chicken
drumsticks or whole chickens.
1. Place the lower heat reflector plate 12
onto the holders 34.
2. Place the grill 14 onto the lower heat
reflector plate 12.
3. Put on the lid 24.
4. Use the temperature control 17 to ad-
just the temperature appropriately to the
food you are cooking.
5. When the thermometer 32 shows the
desired temperature, place the food to
be cooked onto the grill 14.
6. Quickly close the lid 24 again so that
the hot air can circulate inside the bar-
becue without escaping.
