Descaling
If you use the appliance frequently, you should descale it once per month . In
regions where the tap water has an above-average hardness level, descaling at
shorter intervals may also be warranted .
Proceed as follows for descaling:

Put the appliance into a suitable pot, bearing in mind the information found
in Section Preparing the appliance, fill the pot with water and measure
the quantity used . The water level must be on the "Max" marking .

Program an operating process with 80°C and a time of 20 minutes once
the target temperature is reached .
♦
For every 4 litres of used water, add 1/4 table cup of citric acid powder
into the water .
♦
Start the operating process . After it has ended, disconnect the plug and
allow the appliance to cool down . As the last step, rinse the appliance
under cold running water . Before stowing it away, thoroughly dry off the
appliance .
Storage

Let the appliance cool down completely before putting it away .
♦
Store the appliance in a dry location .
Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin means that this appliance is
subject to Directive 2012/19/EU . This directive states that this appliance may
not be disposed of in normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but
must be brought to a specially set-up collection point, recycling depot or disposal
company .
This disposal is free of charge for the user . Protect the environ-
ment by disposing of this appliance properly .
Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to
dispose of the product .
The product is recyclable, subject to extended producer responsibility and is
collected separately .
