Automatic temperature control
The cooking zones feature an automatic temperature control, i. e. the set temperatures are kept
constantly through a correspondingly cycled energy supply. This can be observed by the heating
zones turning on and off. You will find the corresponding values for each cooking level in the
chart under point "Cooking level parameters".
Please use the following settings
1 ... 3
for heating-up
4 ... 6
for steaming, stewing, boiling
7 ... 9
for parboiling, baking, roasting
Switching a cooking zone off
An active cooking zone is switched off by:
a)
applying the PLUS and MINUS sensors simultaneously or
b) setting cooking level "0".
Attention: By applying the ON/OFF sensor, the whole control (i. e. both cooking zones at the
double cooking plate) are switched off!
Residual heat indication
If a cooking zone is switched off and still emits residual heat, the display will show an "H" for
HOT. The display remains also active in off mode and will only distinguish if the appliance is
disconnected from the mains or if there is no residual heat. Do not touch the hot cooking zone!
The residual heat can be used for keeping-warm.
Dual-circuit
Your cooking plate features a dual-circuit heating zone which enlarges the cooking
surface (or one cooking surface at the double cooking plate) from 140 mm Ø to
210 mm Ø by setting an outer heating circuit in addition.
The set cooking level will not be changed by setting the dual-circuit in addition.
Activating the dual-circuit
The dual-circuit can only be activated if the respective cooking zone is active (cooking level
1 – 9). For activating the large heating zone, apply the corresponding dual-circuit sensor. The
glowing LED above the sensor shows you that the outer heating circuit 210 mm Ø is additionally
active.
Deactivating the dual-circuit
If you want to set back to the small heating circuit, apply the dual-circuit sensor again. The LED
above the sensor goes out and shows you that the outer heating circuit is deactivated.
