Operating modes
WARNING
Risk of burns!
During use, the microwave and its
touchable parts become very hot.
You must take care to avoid touching
■
the heating elements.
Keep children away from the viewing
■
window! This can get very hot during
operation.
Children aged 8 years or younger
■
must be kept away from the appli-
ance, unless they are under constant
supervision.
Do not touch the housing parts and
■
the viewing window.
When removing food and accessories
■
from the cooking chamber, always
use dishcloths or oven gloves.
Microwave hazard!
A door that fails to close adequately
can cause microwave radiation to es-
cape. Under such circumstances, the
appliance may not be used.
Pay particular attention to the clean-
■
liness of the door seals and door seal
faces along with all adjacent parts.
Do not use the appliance if the door
■
is warped or damaged, or if the door

latch, hinges, or door seals are de-
fective, or if the door does not close
tightly for any other reason.
If the door or door seals are dam-
■
aged, do not operate the cooking ap-
pliance until it has been repaired by a
person trained to do so.
CAUTION
Risk of scalding!
Risk of scalding from superheating!
Heating of drinks with microwaves may
result in delayed boiling (superheating).
Care should be taken, therefore, when
handling the container. Hot liquid can
suddenly spray out, for example when
removing it from the microwave.
The contents of baby bottles and jars
■
containing baby food must be agitat-
ed or shaken, and the temperature
must be checked before consumption
to avoid burns.
To avoid a boiling delay, place a plas-
■
tic or glass spoon in the container.
Ensure that the spoon is always at
■
least 2 cm away from the interior
walls of the microwave.
Burn hazard from steam!
Steam is generated through the build-
up of heat within the appliance when
cooking dishes and can scald if it comes
into contact with the skin.
