f) Switching On/Off DCF Reception
As already described in Chapter 9, the DCF reception can be switched on/off. Switching off the DCF reception may
be required, e.g. when there is a bad reception (basement rooms). Also see chapter 9. e).
• Once the batteries have been inserted, the DCF reception for the second receiver unit is automatically switched
on.
• Switch the DCF reception off by pressing the "" button (19) on the back of the second receiver unit until the DCF
reception icon to the left next to the clock display disappears (press button for about two seconds).
• Press the "" button again for about 2 seconds to switch the DCF reception back on. The DCF reception icon in
the display flashes. This means that the second receiver unit is carrying out a signal search for the DCF signal. Do
not move the second receiver unit during that time.
The reception attempt can take 3-10 minutes.
• Of course you can also set the time and date of the second receiver unit manually if you don't get any DCF radio
reception.
For this, see chapter 13. m).
g) Switching between Time/Date Display
By pressing the "MODE" button (20) briefly, you can switch between different display formats in succession:
• Hour/minute/second
• Hour/minute/day of week
• Hour/minute/day of week of set time zone ("ZONE" left besides the display)
• Hour/minute/second of set time zone ("ZONE" left besides the display)
• Date
h) Setting the Time Zone
You can set a time offset for the various time zones. This is subtracted or added to the DCF time.
• Press the "MODE" button (20) repeatedly until "ZONE" appears in the display next to the time.
• Press the "MODE" button (20) (approx. 2 seconds) until "0:00+" flashes.
• With the "" (17) and "" (19) buttons, the time offset to DCF time can now be set.
• Briefly press the "MODE" button (20) to save the setting.
