2. Setting the termination resistance and the data output control
When a link cable is connected to only the LINK IN or LINK OUT connector of an RS-
232C board, as the link circuit requires termination. In this case, set the termination
resistance DIP switch to ON. This switch is factory-set to OFF.
Also, if the connected equipment does not have RTS/CTS signals, set the data output
control DIP switch on the RS-232C board installed in the master LT100 display unit
(unit number = "1") to ON. This switch is factory-set to OFF.
Refer to the following step for the cable connections.

• Be sure to turn off the power before inserting or removing the RS-232C board. Inserting
or removing the RS-232C board during the power on may damage the internal circuits.
• Communication over the RS-232C board will fail if the settings are not made properly.
