5-1-1. Basic settings

Self check is performed during power-on, so
approximately 3 seconds. When an RS-232C board is installed,
the main display and the communication check is performed for approximately 3 seconds
after the display during power-on. At this time, the display unit I/O connector,
counter board and BCD board alarm outputs are OFF (alarm status).
A standard initialization was carried out at the time of shipping, however it is possible to
make the following selections depending on intended use. The initial settings are
performed on the counter board currently shown in the main display. To set other counter
boards, press key to switch the display to the desired counter board. Details of the
settings at the time of shipping are given in each section.

• When connecting only one channel of the measuring probe to the counter board, set
"Only A" and connect the measuring probe to the channel A.
• If you set "A + B" or "Only A", the display and the Go/No Go and alarm outputs are
enabled after finishing the initial settings. However, be sure to turn the power off and
then on again when outputting data from the BCD or RS-232C. If you do not turn the
power off and then on again, data cannot be output even if the data output operations
are performed.
