10.2
Preheating
We recommend that the furnace be preheated to a working temperature before you carry out
calibration measures. We suggest a preheating procedure in which you carry out three times
consecutively a combustion process with parameters similar to those in the following Table 10.
After completion of the combustion processes, leave the furnace for 30 minutes at 500°C.
•
Move the lift to the lower position. (LIFT key).
•
Connect the vacuum gauge between the furnace and the vacuum pump.
(Use T connection).
•
Insert the connector into the calibration socket at the rear of the furnace.
10.3
Vacuum calibration
In order to start the calibration process, press consecutively the following key: "PROG", "No.1",
"ENTER" and "START".
The lift platform rises step by step to the closed position.
When the lift platform is in the fully closed position, press key "8" to switch on the pump.
Observe the vacuum gauge. AS soon as the gauge reaches 960 mbar or 720 mmHg, press key
"1"; a double tone is emitted and the pump stops. Press Stop. The lift platform is lowered.
Only after the table has been moved to the lowest position may the calibration connector be
pulled from the socket at the rear and the vacuum gauge separated from the vacuum hose.
Reconnect the pump correctly.
The furnace is now ready for operation.
