WARNING
Unintended functions may be triggered with icing
If the operating temperature is below 2 °C, icing may occur on the front of the device. Icing may trigger unintended
functions in some circumstances.
To avoid triggering unintended functions, you can take the following measures, for example:
Install additional enabling buttons in your plant for operating actions that initiate a dangerous operating state.

Provide a password for operator actions or inputs that initiate a dangerous operating state.

Configuring the device
After the required software has been installed, the "KTP700F Mobile Arctic" HMI device is located under the following folder
in the TIA catalog tree:
"HMI > SIMATIC Mobile Panel > 7" Display"
The HMI device is configured in the same way as a fail-safe Mobile Panel 2nd Generation, except for the operator control
functions that are not available on the HMI device.

Updating the operating system via an external storage medium
If you have integrated the HMI device into the TIA Portal via the corresponding HSP, you have to select the option "Images
from a different location" in the dialog "Select an OS image file" and select the file with the image of the operating system
from the file system.
You can find the HMI device image file in the WinCC installation directory under the following path:
"\Siemens\Automation\Portal V<TIA version>\Data\Hmi\Transfer\<HMI device image
version>\Images\KTP_7_Mobile_Arctic".

"Fatal Error" dialog
If the fail-safe module detects a serious error, the fail-safe automation system outputs the "Fatal error" alarm. The fail-safe
module must then be reset.
Note
Overheating
This message is also displayed when the HMI device overheats.
Undercooling
A warning is displayed when the temperature at the HMI device falls below the permissible minimum temperature.
Check the ambient climatic conditions.
