Adjusting the binocular system
Anatomical adjustments are carried out by
the eyeglass optician.
Anatomical adjustments
1. Adjust side length.
2. Inclination (Frame angle): adjust to
suit head position of user
Adjustment of pupil distance (PD)
1. Adjust the near/far PD using the scale
[2] set on the eye-side of the binocular
carrier [1].
c The viewing field of both eyes must
coincide, i.e. only one clear image
must appear.
Fit the Galilei systems as closely as
possible to the eye to ensure the
maximum possible viewing field for
the user.
2. Once the PD has been set, lock the eye-
piece holders [3] with the clips [4].
Adjust for viewing errors
The system can be corrected at the eye-side
(far correction).
c For eye-side correction, use the
accessories from Article No. 16221
(Former for spectacle glasses with 4
replacement attachment rings).
