Before using for the first time

Secure a sufficiently long and strong rope to the handle. Lower the pump using the
rope. The pump can also be carried using the rope or the handle. If the pump is to be
used continuously with the rope attached at all times, the rope's condition must be
checked regularly, as it can rot over time.

Connecting the pressurised hose

In the case of occasional use, use a suitable water hose. It is recommended that a stiff
hose is used with a non-return valve for fixed installations. This will prevent any return
flow of liquid when the pump is switched off.
- Fit the pressurised hose to the hose connector.
All threaded connections must be sealed using sealing tape (e.g. Teflon® tape).
When the hose is to be used, screw a suitable hose adaptor onto the pressure
-
connection.
- Push the hose securely onto the hose adapter and tighten securely using a hose
clip.
