For less intensive use, the oil change is performed once per year.
To change the oil in the hydraulic power pack, remove the screw (item 12,
figure 1, page 7) located under the tank.
USED OIL MUST BE DISPOSED OF IN COMPLIANCE WITH
APPLICABLE REGULATIONS.
The drain screw has a magnetic part used to recover metallic particles.
Carefully clean the screw before reinstalling it in its housing.
Check that the drain screw and washer are correctly in place before filling
the tank with oil.

For the gasoline engine servicing operations, proceed as instructed in the
specific manual (appended to this manual).
13. Unauthorized used of supertirfor™
equipment
GB
Safe use of your supertirfor™ equipment will be ensured by following the
instructions given in this manual. The following unauthorized actions are
strictly prohibited.
Do not:
- Use the machine described in this manual to lift persons.
- Secure the machine by any other means other than the anchoring
component provided with your unit.
- Block the machine in a fixed position or hinder self-alignment of the
machine in the direction of the load.
- Apply a load on a supertirfor™ wire rope strand coming out of the
anchoring side.
- Knock on the control units.
- Use a TU16H and a TU32H simultaneously to lift or pull a same load.
- Use a setup in which the supertirfor™ machine moves along the wire
rope.
- Operate the machine in the forward direction to a point that the wire
rope hook comes into contact with the casing.
- Operate the machine in the reverse direction to a point where the wire
rope end moves into the casing.
- Use the supertirfor™ wire rope as a slinging means.
- Use any other wire rope other than a supertirfor™ wire rope.
- Handle the wire rope without appropriate Personnel Protection
Equipment.
- Allow a tensioned wire rope to bear and rub against an obstacle.
- Expose the wire rope to temperatures exceeding 100°C, or to
mechanical or chemical agents which could damage the wire rope.
- Use the supertirfor™ machine with any kind of foreign matter inside the
unit.
- Fit two rams simultaneously on a supertirfor™ TU16H machine.
- Fit the extending control handle on the forward or reverse operating
levers when the supertirfor™ machine is equipped with a ram.
- Attempt to maneuver the clutch handle when the machine has a load.
- Hinder free movement of the reverse operating lever, the forward
operating lever or the clutch handle.
- Simultaneously actuate the forward and reverse operating levers.
- Use any other means of maneuvering the machine other than the
original extending handle or the ram.
- Replace the supertirfor™ safety pins with anything other than genuine
supertirfor™ safety pins of the same model.
- Use greases or oils containing molybdenum disulfide or graphite
additives to lubricate the wire rope or the machine.
- Connect a TU16H to an outlet marked "TU32H".
- Operate a hydraulic power pack without oil in the tank.
- Connect more than 4 rams to a same hydraulic power pack.
- Throw away used oil without complying with applicable environment
protection regulations.

- Fill the fuel tank of the gasoline engine while the engine is running.
- Smoke near a hydraulic power pack with gasoline engine when filling
the engine tank with fuel.
- Use any other fuel than the fuel recommended.
- Use the power pack with gasoline engine in a closed room, even if
the doors or windows are open. The gasoline engine produces carbon
monoxide which is a poisonous, odour-free, invisible gas. Inhalation of
carbon monoxide can cause nausea, fainting and death.
- Place anything on the exhaust pipe or on the body of the gasoline
engine when in use or after use of the engine. The metal parts of the
gasoline engine conduct heat and can cause burns when in contact with
human skin.
- Run the electric motor in the counter-clockwise direction.
- Connect the hydraulic power pack with electric motor without a proper
ground connection.
- Use the machine when the electrical protection devices are not properly
sized.
- Block the electric motor control button in the "on" position using an
external device.
- Touch the fins while the motor is turning.
- Pull the hydraulic power pack by its power cable.
