Diagnostics Button and Engine Controller Fault Signaling
The electronic controller has several functions of engine protection on the basis of the signals from the corresponding sensors. Depending on the importance of the fault or failure the engine may continue to
operate (the fault indicator being lit constantly) or may shut down (in this case the indicator is flashing).
Lighting up of the indicator means that there is a fault in the electrical connection (short circuit or rupture) or deviation of the corresponding sensor signal from normal.
The next flashing code signals that the measured value is below or above the permissible level.
The faults are registered / stored in memory of the control console and indicated by the warning indicator.
With the help of diagnostics it is possible to scan fault codes and remove faults from the fault collector 1. The diagnostics button and the warning indicator are located on the rear panel of the switch box.
Current Fault Code Indication Fetching
The warning indicator shows presence of fault, i.e. it flashes or is lit constantly. Press the diagnostics button and keep it pressed for 1 – 3 seconds. After this the engine controller starts indicating the fault
code (see the Fault Code Table).
Reading of the codes starts only after the indicator extinguishes and after the working program initialization phase. Therefore, the warning indicator may glow constant after being turned on, if the fault was
detected after initialization. The electronic controller may indicate flashing codes of only active faults.
Further Actions to Select the Flashing Code of the Last Fault:
The warning indicator shows presence of fault, i.e. it flashes or is lit constantly.
Press the diagnostics button and keep it pressed for 1 – 3 seconds: the indicator stops lighting the presence of a fault.
Warning Indicator
In 2 s: Reading of data in the electronic controller memory (2 short flashes).
Indication of the code sequence of the last fault stored in the memory.
In 2 s: 1 long flash.
Diagnostics Button
In 2 s: 1 short flash.
After feeding the fault code: 5-second pause and indication of the presence of fault – by flashing or constant glowing of
the indicator.
Further Actions to Select the Flashing Code of the Next Fault:
The warning indicator shows presence of fault, i.e. it flashes or is lit constantly.
Press the diagnostics button and keep it pressed for 1 – 3 seconds: the indicator stops lighting the presence of a fault.
In 2 s: Reading of data in the electronic controller memory (2 short flashes).
Indication of the code sequence of the next fault stored in the memory.
After feeding the fault code: 5-second pause and indication of the presence of fault – by flashing or constant glowing of
the indicator.
Repeat the above-mentioned steps to read all codes stored in the memory of the electronic controller. After this the indica-
tion of the last code starts again.
Removal of Faults from Fault Collector 1
The fault collector of the electronic controller has two banks (1 and 2). Each fault is simultaneously written in both banks.
With the help of the diagnostics button it is possible to remove presently inactive faults from bank 1.
It can be done in the following way:
Press and hold pressed the diagnostics button.
Turn on the ignition.
While the warning indicator flashes (for 2 s) release the diagnostics button.
All presently inactive faults will be removed from fault collector bank 1.
The operation will be confirmed by three short flashers of the indicator.
