6.1

Adding input/output modules

Please note the following if extending the valve system
by an I/O module:
Observe the following points during installation:
O
A maximum of 12 I/O modules can be mounted
on one valve system. Observe the current load!
O
System without a power module:
The maximum permissible current load to the bus
coupler's POWER X10 for the inputs and outputs must
be observed.
O
System with a power module:
The input modules should preferentially be mounted
on the bus coupler for EMC reasons.
O
The maximum number of I/O modules that are lined up
directly on the left of the bus coupler depends on the
maximum permissible current load on P24VN from
POWER X10 on the bus coupler for inputs and outputs.
O
The maximum number of I/O modules that are lined up
directly on the left of the power module depends on the
maximum permissible current load on P24VN form
POWER X10 on the power module for outputs.
1. Remove the left side cover from the bus coupler or from the
last I/O module of the valve system (3 hexagon socket-head
screws, DIN 912 M4, wrench width 3).
2. Put the (additional) I/O module in place. Ensure that the
gasket has been inserted properly and that the contacts
have been plugged in.
3. Screw the I/O module tight (3 hexagon socket-head screws,
DIN 912 M4, wrench width 3).
Tightening torque: 2.5 ... 3.0 Nm.
