put the adapter 10 into a power source.
2. Place the other end of the USB-cable 9 into
the power socket 4 of the pen.
3. Place the drawing mat 12 on top of your tem-
plate 13. Using a drawing mat 12 will prevent
the filament 1 1 from sticking to your template13.
4. Check if the ABS/PLA switch 5 is correctly set
before using filament 1 1. When using filament
1 1 from the package the switch 5 should be set
to PLA.
5. Press the On/Off switch 2. The indicator
light 6 will turn orange. The print head 8 will
now start to heat up. After approximately 30
seconds, the print head 8 will reach a tempe-
rature of 230°C, at this point the indicator light
6 will turn green and when it does the pen is
ready for use.

1. Place the chosen filament 1 1
into the filament entrance 3 with
a straight cut end.
2. Press the filament feed button
1 once to feed the filament 1 1
into the pen.
3. After a few seconds, the
filament 1 1 will be fed through
to the front of the pen and the
melted filament will come out of
the print head 8.
4. You can now start your creation. Do not let
the print head 8 touch the drawing mat 12 to
prevent any heat marks, it is preferable to keep
a distance of 0.5cm.
5. When you want to stop the flow of filament
1 1, press the filament feed button 1 once more.
6. If you want to have more control over the
filament flow, you can opt to operate the feed
manually. For this you keep the filament feed
button 1 pressed down while you work. The
filament 1 1 will stop feeding through as soon as
you release the filament feed button 1.
7. When you place the pen aside, it will turn
off automatically after two minutes. To continue
your work, press the On/Off switch 2 again
and wait for the indicator light 6 to turn green
as it heats up again.
Adjust speed

You can adjust the speed by which the filament
flows out of the pen by sliding the speed switch
7. If you want to slow down the filament flow,
slide the switch towards the smaller bar (to the
front). If you want to make the filament flow
faster, slide the switch towards the larger bar (to
the back).
Changing the filament
When you want to switch your colour or type
of filament 1 1, you must first remove the current
filament by reversing it out of the pen. To do
this press the filament reverse button 2 once.
The filament 1 1 will then be fed out of the pen in
reverse and exit via the filament entrance 3. Do
not pull on the filament 1 1 during this process to
avoid damaging the interior of the pen. Rever-
sing the filament is an automated process that
stops on its own. After this you can replace the

filament 1 1 with your new type or colour and
start again at step 1 of the instructions.
Hold the On/Off switch 2 for 5 seconds to
switch off the 3D pen.
CAUTION: when changing the filament type,
check if the ABS/PLA switch 5 is correctly set.

When using PLA filament, the melting tempera-
ture has to be lower and the ABS/PLA switch 5
must be set on 'PLA'. When using ABS or PETG
filament, the melting temperature has to be
higher and the ABS/PLA switch 5 must be set
on ABS.

8. Troubleshooting

Indicator light 6 doesn't work:
1. Check power source.
2. Check power supply connection; is the
adapter 10 plugged into the power source and
is the USB-cable 9 plugged into the adapter 10
and power socket 4 properly.
