TROUBLESHOOTING

A list of the possible machine faults is given below.
The icon of the Maintenance Technician in the "Notes / Recommended Intervention" box means that the operation must
be carried out by the Maintenance Technician only.
Fault
The machine does not switch
on
The display shows: "Coffee
grounds drawer full"
Grinder error
Only water is dispensed
instead of coffee
No water or steam is dispensed
Coffee flows out too quickly
Coffee flows out too slowly
Coffee is not hot enough
Coffee does not have enough
crema
The machine requires too
much time to warm up, the
water quantity is reduced
The brew group does not
come out
The brew group cannot be
inserted
The Cappuccinatore does not
dispense milk

Cause
No voltage
The Coffee grounds drawer is full
The coffee grinder is blocked
The button for pre-ground coffee selection has
been pressed but ground coffee has not been
added into the relative container
The steam/hot water wand hole is clogged
The grind is too coarse
The grind is too fine
The cup has not been preheated
The machine has not yet reached the right temperature
The coffee blend is unsuitable, coffee is not freshly
roasted, the coffee powder has been ground too
finely or too coarsely
The machine circuit is clogged by limescale
The brew group is not in the neutral position
The brew group is not in the neutral position
The milk used is not cold enough (see warnings)
There is no more milk in the container
Notes / Recommended Intervention
Check:
if the plug is connected
if the all-pole switch (if any) is on
the fuses of the electrical
system
the electric connections
Empty the coffee grounds
drawer and place it back
properly
Clean the coffee
grinder (see section
"Coffee Grinder
Block")
Place the coffee dose in the
container and restart the cycle
Clean it with a thin needle
Set a finer grind
Set a coarser grind
Preheat the cup on the cup warming
surface
Wait for the machine to reach the ideal
temperature
Change the coffee blend or
check its grind setting (if
pre-ground)
Descale the machine
Switch the machine on and off
by using the power button
Manually turn the group until it is
in the neutral position, matching
the reference mark placed on the
shaft with the arrow
Move the temperature adjusting
lever downwards
Fill the container with milk
