Do NOT use water since an additional danger of burns arises due to the water
steam.
– Cool burns immediately (for at least 15 minutes!) with water!
– Dispose of the appliance.
❐ Never leave the appliance unsupervised during operation!
❐ Do not drop the appliance or subject it to severe impacts.
❐ The appliance may not be moved during operation.
❐ Do not place any combustible materials such as cardboard, plastic, paper or candles
on or in the appliance.
❐ Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects
or other sharp objects away from the appliance. These objects could damage the
antistick coating of the griddles.
❐ Do not use any aluminium foil. This might result in the appliance overheating!
❐ Do not place food that is still packed in plastic wrap or plastic bags in the appliance.
❐ When opening the appliance, keep enough distance to prevent burns due to heat or
hot steam.
❐ Open the appliance only the handle to prevent burns. We also recommend the use of
potholders or kitchen gloves.
❐ Remove the mains plug from the mains socket
– if you do not use the appliance,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before a thunderstorm,
– before you clean the appliance.
❐ Always pull the plug and never the lead!
❐ Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Ensure that the appliance,
lead or plug do not fall into water or become wet. Should the appliance fall into water,
switch off the power supply immediately.
❐ Never touch the appliance, cable or plug with wet hands.
❐ Never spray cold water on the griddles during or immediately after the use of the
appliance. This could damage the antistick coating!
❐ Always let the appliance and the contents of the grease collecting tray before cleaning
the parts and disposing of the contents.
