Replacing the cord spool

The trimmer continues to spin after being
switched off! Always remove battery be-
fore performing any work on the trimmer!
1. Forcefully press both catches together on the
spool cover and remove
2. Remove line spool.
3. Remove any soiling.
4. Feed the end of the line from the new line spool
through the line eyelet in the housing cover and in-

sert the spool cassette into the housing cover
Ensure that the line spool is inserted as il-
lustrated.
5. Attach spool cover to the line spool holder, ensur-
ing that both catches click into position

When the lawn trimmer is switched on, the
line is cut to working length. Switch on unit
in operating position only.

Faults and how to remedy

Problem Cause
• Spool is empty.
• Dirt and debris in spool drive mechanism.
Tilt switch
• Line is torn and stuck inside spool.

• Line is „welded" to itself or to spool through
heat build-up.
String
• Coil too dry or brittle.

frequently
• String in contact with fence posts, trees, etc. • Use plant guard.

Switch off the trimmer and disconnect the battery before inspecting, cleaning or working on the
thread.

Remedy
• Fit new spool.
• Clean parts with a brush.
• Remove spool, check tightness of winding
and replace spool in the usual way.
• Remove welded line section, check tightness
of winding and replace spool in the usual
way.
• Place the coil in a container with water for ap-
prox. 24 hours. Dry and reinstall it.
