Application examples in combination with OneSystem IO module N5950
The following examples demonstrate possibilities for use of the electric multi-point lock 819N in combina-
tion with superordinate control systems.
Alarm if the door remains open
Status message locked
A status output of the OneSystem IO module N5950 reports 'Door closed and locked' to the superordinate
control system. If a door remains open for an extended time, an alarm is triggered after a length of time
specified in the control system.
The combination of an external door contact in addition to the integrated striking plate and bolt contacts
of the electric multi-point lock 819N makes it more difficult to tamper with the door.
No alarm if the door is opened from the inside
Status message
A door monitor that already triggers an alarm if the door is opened without prior activation by an access
inner handle actuated
control system cannot differentiate whether the door was opened from inside or outside. In this case, the
inner handle status output can be used for alarm suppression.
