If the remote control is not used for a prolonged period, remove the batteries in

order to prevent battery acid leaking.

Always replace the complete set of batteries. Do not replace just one battery.
Warning: batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Dis-
pose of the used batteries at the relevant collection bin or at your dealer's.
Never throw batteries into the fi re.
Volume
The desired volume can be sent using the VOLUME MAX/MIN regulator (9).
Switch-off
The machine is turned off when the function selector switch (13) is in the TAPE
position and all tape functions are switched off. Unplug the device.
PHONES
Insert the plug of a set of headphones into the headphone socket (27) – the loudspea-
kers are „muted". If your headphone plug does not fi t, please use a suitable adapter.
Loudspeakers
Connect the loudspeakers to the back (28) of the machine.
Infra-red remote control
For cordless remote control of the device from a distance of up to 5 metres. If this
range becomes shorter, the batteries need to be changed. When operating the
remote control ensure that there is nothing blocking the view between the remote
control unit and the infra-red receiver on the music centre.
1. Turn the function selector switch (13) to the TUNER position.
2. With the band selector switch (15) you can select the desired frequency band.
VHF (Stereo) = FM ST
3. Tune into the desired station using the TUNING regulator (16).
4. The stereo control light (18) beneath the adjustment knob only lights up when
you have selected VHF stereo and receive the station in stereo quality. If
reception is too weak and the station received crackles, it may be that this light
will not come on. Try to improve reception by turning and bending or twisting
and altering the length of the antenna. If no improvement can be achieved we
recommend switching to VHF-mono.
