Assembly / disassembly
of spare parts
See also chapter 11.1 "Installing the valve"
and chapter 20 "Sectional drawing and
spare parts".
12.1
Disassembly of actuator
and gasket 7
1. Move actuator A to the open position.
2. Using a wrench, loosen actuator
retaining nut a.
3. Remove actuator A from valve body 1.
4. Remove gasket 7.
5. Disconnect actuator A from control
medium line.
Important:
After disassembly, clean all parts
of contamination (do not damage
parts). Check parts for potential
damage, replace if necessary (only
use genuine parts from GEMÜ).
12.2
Assembly of actuator and
gasket 7
1. Check the position of pin e.
The pin e of the weld-on ring
must be aligned with the groove
of the pipe.
e
If the pin e is not aligned with
the groove of the pipe, send the
bonnet to GEMÜ for repair.
2. Move actuator A to the open position.
3. Insert new gasket 7 in valve body 1.
4. Actuator rotatable 360°. Position of the
control medium connector is optional.
5. Place actuator A on valve body 1 approx.
90° anticlockwise to the desired end
position of the control medium connector
and screw it down hand tight using
retaining nut a.
6. Tightening the retaining nut a with an

Important:
Replace gasket 7 during every
actuator disassembly / assembly.
