ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
USE CARE WHEN UNPACKING AS COMPONENTS TO
BE ASSEMBLED MAY POSE A SMALL PARTS/SHARP
EDGE HAZARD.
ASSEMBLY
1 • Take the protective caps off the wheel axles.
2 • Place one of the bigger washers on one of the
front two axles (PLEASE NOTE: you will find
more washers than needed in the bag, in case
one should get lost).
3 • Slip one of the two smaller wheels onto the
axle, making sure to place the tread in the
direction shown on the figure.
4 • Place one of the bigger self-locking washers on
the special tool, as shown in the figure.
Warning: the tongues of the self-locking
washers must face the inside of the tool (see
detail A).
PLEASE NOTE: you will find more self-locking
washers than needed in the bag. These are to
be stored and used if one breaks.
5 • Fasten the wheel as shown in the figure,
pushing the self-locking washer down
completely. Repeat the steps in figure 1 to
mount the other front wheel.
6 • Place a washer on the back right axle, as shown
in the figure.
7 • Slip one of the two remaining wheels onto the
axle, making sure to place the tread in the
direction shown in the figure.
8 • Insert a self-locking washer into the provided
tool (see figure 4) and fasten the wheel, as
shown in the figure.
9 • Slip the last wheel onto the axle, making sure to
push the axle fork all the way in.
10 • Insert an automatic lock-washer into the
provided tool (see figure 4) and fasten the
wheel, as shown in the figure.
11 • Snap the four stud caps onto the wheels.
12 • Insert the fake counterweight at the front of
the tractor.
13 • Tighten the screws in the base.
14 • Connect the two parts of the steering wheel.
15 • Fix the steering wheel with the proper screw
and nut. Note: nut fits into hexagon hole, screw
into round hole.
16 • Unscrew the two screws from the body.
17 • Snap the windshield in place. Align the holes in
the windshield with those on the body.
Retighten the two screws.
18 • Position the roll-bar on the mudguard.
19 • Tighten the four screws to fix the roll-bar.
20 • Position and screw on the mudguard with the 4
screws.
21 • Position and screw on the triangle with the two
screw on the back of the tractor.
22 • Unscrew the two knobs located under the seat.
23 • The seat can be set at two different positions
depending on the height of the child.
24 • Position the seat in one of the holes.
25 • Place the tractor on it side and unscrew the
panel on the bottom.
26 • Tight the seat with the two knobs and screw
the panel back in place.
27 • Position the roll-bar lights (1), pushing them till
they click (2).
28 • If you want to increase the tension of the chain:
Unscrew and rotate the plastic disk to position
2 or 3.
29 • Fasten the disk by tightening the screws.
30 • Assembled trailer. To mount the trailer, follow
the instructions below.
31 • Insert a self-locking washer into the conical tool
provided. IMPORTANT: the washer flanges must
be orientated towards the inside of the tool
(see detail A).
32 • Remove the axle from the packaging and
remove the protective caps, if present. Insert
the axle, hitting it with a hammer until fully
inserted into the tool. When finished remove
the tool.
33 • Fit one wheel onto the axle, followed by two
washers and then the other wheel.
34 • Put a self-locking washer into the tool (figure
31), insert the axle prepared previously, and
hammer in fully.
35 • Place the cover of the red latch on the bottom
of the trailer.
36 • Join the spring and red latch as illustred.
37 • Insert them into the slot.
38 • Insert the lever, pressing on the red latch to
facilitate the operation.
39 • Align all the holes and insert the pin.
40 • Fasten the pin with a small stud by pressing on
both sides.
41 • Position the dumper on the bottom and
tighten the two screws.
42 • Position the flap and fasten it from the inside
by using the plugs provided.
43 • Cover with caps on the outside.
44 • Turning the tow-truck over, insert the prepared
axle in the special housings and make sure that
the 2 washers are touching the wheels.
45 • Insert the hub covers by applying pressure.
46 • To hook up the trailer: Insert the red hook into
the hole provided behind the tractor and turn
it as shown in the drawing.
47 • To release and tip the dumper, lover the lever in
the direction of the arrow.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY
This product conforms to EN 71 the safety standard
for toys. This vehicle is not intended for use on
streets, around traffic or parked cars.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
• Regularly check the conditions of the vehicle. In
case of fault, do not try to use the vehicle. For
repair use only original PEG PEREGO's spare parts.
• PEG PEREGO assumes no liability if the product as
been tampered with.
• Do not leave vehicle near sources of heat such as
radiators, stoves, fireplaces, etc.
• Protect vehicle from water, rain, snow, etc.
• Periodically lubricate (with a light weight oil)
moving parts, such as wheel bearings, steering
linkages, and chains at points of rotation or where
they come in contact.
• The vehicle's surface can be cleaned with a
dampcloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. The
cleaning must be carried out by adults only.
• Never disassemble the vehicles mechanisms
unless authorized by PEG PEREGO.
SAFETY
WARNING! THE CAR MUST BE USED UNDER ADULT
SUPERVISION.
• Not suitable for children under the age of 2 years.
The small pieces could be swallowed or inhaled.
• Never use the vehicle on steep slopes,near steps
or stairs, in the middle of traffic or between
parked cars.
• Children should always wear shoes when riding in
or driving a ride-in/ride-on vehicle.
• Do not allow children to place their hands, feet or
any part of their body, clothing or other articles
near the moving parts while vehicle is in
operation.
• Never use gasoline or other flammable
substances near the vehicle.
• The vehicle is constructed just for one child.
