A a/? (main power) switch
Pressing the ON side turns on the main power to the
camera, and the ?/1 indicator on the top panel of
this unit lights in orange.
Pressing the OFF side turns off the main power to
the camera, and the ?/1 indicator turns off.
Note
With the a/? switch set to ON, a small amount of
standby power is consumed. Set the switch to OFF
if the camera is not to be used for a long period of
time.
B S-VIDEO OUTPUT connector (mini DIN 4-pin)
Supplies the images as Y/C separate signals.
C VIDEO OUTPUT connector (BNC type)
Supplies the images as composite signals.
D NTSC/PAL select switch
NTSC or PAL video signals are output according to
this switch setting.
Set the switch to either position according to the
color system of the monitor you are using.
Note
If you switch the NTSC/PAL select switch with the
power of the camera on, you cannot switch the
color system. In this case, press the ?/1 (on/
standby) switch to put the camera in standby mode,
then press it again to turn on the power. The system
can be switched.

E FLASH connector
Connect the cable for a commercially available
flash.
F CAMERA connector (10-pin)
Connect to the camera connector of the camera
head using the supplied camera cable.
G IEEE1394 (digital interface) connector (6-pin)
Connect to a computer using an IEEE1394 cable
(not supplied) that conforms to the IEEE1394
standards.
Notes
• This connector cannot be used for connection to
video equipment with a DV i connector.
• This connector is not compatible with bus power.
H FS2 connector (D-Sub 9-pin)
Reserved for future use.
I FS1 connector (stereo minijack)
Connect the optional FS-20 foot switch.
J TRIG IN (trigger input) connector (BNC type)
Use this connector when still-picture capturing is
externally controlled.
When using a flash in INPUT mode, connect a
commercially available slave unit.

L Ventilation opening
Do not block the opening, as it may damage the
unit.
