Before start-up

Mains supply
Before starting the device, check that mains voltage
and frequency correspond to the voltage and fre-
quency specified on the devices' type plate.

Insufficiently dimensioned electrical installation

can lead to serious property damages.
The power supply lead and its fuse must be

dimensioned according to the available power
supply.
Assembly
Risk of bodily injury and damage to

An inadequate protective conductor

connection can result in serious
injuries or damage.
The housing screws represent

a suitable protective conductor
connection for earthing of the
housing and must not under any
circumstances be replaced by other
screws without a reliable protective
conductor connection.

If the charger is to be installed in a switch

cabinet (or similar enclosed space) ensure
there is adequate heat extraction through the
provision of forced ventilation.
The clearance around the charger should be at

least 10 cm.

Operation

Starting charging
Attention!

Before starting charging, ensure that the battery

to be charged is fully functional and that the
device charging voltage is appropriate for the
battery voltage.

Connect the mains lead to the charger and plug
into the mains.
▸
The charger is in no load mode
Both ready-for-use indicators light up.

Select the charging characteristic curve type
according to the type of battery to be charged.

terminals are connected incorrectly.
Connect the charging terminals

with correct polarity and ensure the
correct electrical connection of the
battery poles.

Switch off the vehicle ignition and all other
consumers.
▸
Connect the charging cable (red) to the battery
positive terminal (+).
▸
Connect the charging cable (black) to the battery
negative terminal (-).
The battery voltage is automatically detected after

2 seconds.
