Before you start

The camcorder functions with a rechargeable lithium-ion (CA NP-40) battery pack. On
delivery, the battery pack is not charged. Please charge the battery pack before using the
device for the first time.
To operate the camera, only use the CA NP-40 rechargeable lithium-ion
battery pack from FUJI Electronics (Shenzhen) Co.,Ltd..

Charging the battery in the charger

Insert the battery pack in the charger cradle so that the [+] and [-] contacts match on the
battery pack and charger cradle.
