FUEL SYSTEM
Use Diesel fuel No.2-D (ASTM D975)
See engine manufacturer's manual for additional
information.
Bleeding air from fuel system
(a)
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position
(don't start engine).
(b)
Open air vent (B) on Fuel filter housing to
allow air to escape.
(c)
Retighten air vent.
(d)
Open air vent (D) on side of injection pump
to allow air to escape.
(e)
Retighten air vent.
(f)
Turn ignition to OFF.
Changing fuel filter
(a)
Unscrew filter (A) from filter head.
(b)
Remove filter and discard.
(c)
Fit new filter to head.
(d)
Bleed air from system as described above.
Replace In-line fuel (C)
Draining Fuel Tank
(a)
Remove filler cap (E).
(b)
Remove drain plug (F).
(c)
Drain diesel fuel in to a suitable container.
(d)
Replace drain plug (F) and filler cap (E).
NOTE:
If refilling fuel tank, bleed the system as
described above.
CAUTION
Contact with diesel fuel can damage your
skin. Use gloves when working with diesel
fuel. If you come in contact with diesel fuel,
wash it off immediately.
CAUTION
Dispose of used diesel fuel in accordance
with local regulations.
