For correct use of the TPM300, refer to the operator's manual supplied with the
accessory.
3- Turn the multiple tool (revolver) to bring the bead breaker disc into the working
position.
4- Turn the chuck until the valve is at the 1 o'clock position.
5- Position the bead breaker disc about 5 mm from the outside edge of the rim.
6- Lower the disc until it is touching the tyre (see Fig.L/1).
7- Start turning clockwise.
NOTE: It does not matter whether the chuck is turned by operating the buttons or
the pedal. The operator will choose the method he considers more convenient on
each occasion.
8- During rotation, move the bead breaker disc forward to penetrate into the rim,
following its profile.
If a pressure sensor is fitted, take care not to knock against it accidentally.
9- When there is enough room, start lubricating; lubricate both the tyre bead and
the inside of the rim thoroughly (see Fig. L/2).
Use a specific lubricant for tyres.
Take care not to apply lubricant to the sensor (if any).
10- Following the profile of the rim, move the bead breaker disc until it is back in
the starting position.
11- Using the bottom bead breaker disc, repeat the operations from point 6 for the
bottom bead (see Fig. L/3).
NOTE: In this stage a better view of the operation can be obtained with the aid
of the mirror or, if available, the camera, which displays the images on the video
screen.
N.B. Both the upper bead breaking disc as well as the lower one can be free to
tilt (positioning the support as shown in fig. L/4) or be fixed (positioning the
support as shown in fig. L/5).
It is advisable to use the tilting disc when working on tyres with rigid sides
(run-flat/low profile, etc.), whereas the fixed position would be better for soft
tyres.
WARNING!
During bead breaking, apply pressure to the tyre bead only
and never to the sidewall.
