DESCRIPTION OF TYRE CHANGER

The machine is an electro-pneumatic universal tyre changer, suitable for complete
wheels with weights and dimensions shown in the technical data paragraph.
It is designed to work effectively on:
- Conventional wheels;
- Reverse rim wheels or wheels without central well - (using optional kit);
- Runflat tyre with reinforced side*
* WARNING: Special working procedures have been specifically studied for these wheels'
systems.
N.B. Clamping and/or demounting wheels in the vintage car category (cars out of production for more than
30 years) and some types of rally wheels and wheels of cars approved only for off-road use may be difficult and
occasionally even impossible.
This sturdy machine operates by keeping the wheel horizontal for both bead breaking
and for demounting/mounting.
Operations are performed by the operator by means of pedal controls on a pedal unit
and by means of manual controls on the control panel.
Thanks to this machine, any bead-breaking, demounting and mounting operations
can be performed on the above tyre types.
The wheel is kept horizontal at all times and always perfectly centred on the self-
centring device.
Wheel loading and unloading operations are made easier by an ergonomic lift (optional
kit) which makes the operator's job easier.
A strong point is the elimination of the bead-lifting lever.
The machine operates according to a totally innovative principle and envisages:
- A wheel positioning system that refers to the inside face of same and to the machine
turntable ( for rims with channel on inside, an optional reverse rim kit is available
).
- An effective manual wheel clamping system which, by means of pistol and cones
exploits the centre hole of the rim (for rims without hole an optional clamping kit
is available.)
- Pneumatic bead breaker unit consisting of two bead-breaker disk arms. Vertical
movement is pneumatic and independent, controlled from the control panel. The
horizontal positioning of the disks is manual with pneumatic operation from the
control panel and permits the simultaneous positioning of the bead-breaker disks.
Bead breaking is ensured by the movement of the disk with controlled hold-to-run
control.
