4.3.1
Examining the half mask
Examine all parts for cracks, brittleness or deformation.
4.3.2
Examining the exhalation valve disc
1. Press the valve seat into the inner mask body and remove it from
the mask.
2. Grasp the exhalation valve disk at the edge and remove it from the
valve seat.
3. Examine the valve seat for dirt and damage, and wipe it clean with
a disposable tissue if necessary.
4. Press the exhalation valve disc into the valve seat until it engages.
The disc should rest evenly on the valve seat. If necessary replace
the valve disc.
5. Insert the valve seat into the mask body so that the valve disk
points to the outside.
6. Press the valve seat into the groove of the mask body.

Storage
Store the half mask in a dry, dust-free place where it is not being
deformed. Storage temperature: -10 °C to 60 °C (14 °F to 140 °F) at
<90 % rel. humidity.
Keep from direct sunlight or heat radiation. Observe ISO 2230 and
national regulations for storage, maintenance and cleaning of rubber
products.

Disposal
Dispose of the half mask and the respiratory filter according to local
waste disposal regulations.
